Pai takes a stand against microbeads

At Pai, we’ve been outspoken on our stance against microbeads for a long time.

We believe that plastic microplastic beads and particles should never be used in personal care and domestic cleaning products – especially when there are sustainable, non-polluting alternatives available (such as the 100% natural and biodegradable jojoba beads we use in our Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator).

We’re proud to have joined forces with other brands in the natural beauty world to issue an open letter to David Cameron, calling him to follow President Barack Obama’s lead and ban the use of plastic microbeads in cosmetic and personal care products.

The letter has been delivered to Downing Street alongside a petition with over 300,000 signatures, urging the Prime Minister to issue an outright ban on the use of microbeads in the cosmetic industry.

It is not often that businesses call on government to regulate their own industry, so hopefully our united voices can help deliver action.

You can read the whole letter here and show your support using #BanTheBead.
