‘I’ve been told natural skincare is better for sensitive skin – but where do I start?’

This month, Creative Manager for www.nutribeautyproducts.com, Holly Hope Harper, was invited to be one of Pure Beauty Magazine’s resident experts.

Answering a question very dear to our hearts here at Pai, Holly says:

Q. I’ve been told natural skincare will be better for my sensitive skin but I don’t know where to start when it comes to choosing a new regime – what should I look for in my selected products?

It is less a case of what you should look for, and more about what you should avoid – products that include alcohol and chemicals like parabens, which are no longer necessary to achieve a reasonable shelf life, and sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS), which began life as an industrial de-greasant and can now be found in most mainstream products that ‘foam’, should be avoided.

All skin deserves natural and organic skincare, but sensitive skin needs it!

Skincare with aloe vera, rosehip and argan oil have very healing properties and can now be found with increasing regularity up and down the high street; or save yourself the bother of reading long lists of ingredients and purchase Pai, which was formulated with sensitive and allergy-prone skin in mind and is as transparent about what they put in their products as you can possibly be.

Another plus of buying into natural and organic product ranges is that they usually operate in ethical and eco-friendly ways, using recycled materials, refusing to test on animals and often ‘giving back’ to any landscapes they affect.”
