Get your feet summer ready!

During last weekend’s Mediterranean weather, I found myself in my summer sandals looking in dismay at my very un-summery feet!

After a long winter of thick socks and boots, they needed some serious TLC – so here’s what I did:

Start by sloughing off hard skin – I like to use a pumice stone on damp skin rather than dry, as the friction can be a little irritating.

Once your skin is smooth and dry, massage in a pump or two of our award-winning Fragonia & Sea Buckthorn Hand Cream. It’s packed with omega-rich Oils which intensively nourish the skin – perfect for those stubborn cracked heels.

Top tip – moisturise your feet before bed so you don’t go sliding all over the bathroom floor…!

Don’t let the side down with hangnails or uneven toenails!

Give them a trim and a file, and if you have any leftover discolouration from a previous dark polish – remove using a bit of neat lemon juice.

Attention to detail

Once my feet are looking positively peachy, I’ll slick on a coat or two of a bright nail varnish.

While I’m not the biggest fan of conventional nail varnish (the smell is just too toxic and there are too many dubious ingredients for my liking), there are now some brilliant natural options on the market. Check out Content’s site for a great variety.
