A Decade Of Helping Sensitive Skin

Sarah Brown is the founder of Pai Skincare. Entrepreneur, mum and sensitive-skinned soul.

This is a nostalgic month for me as Pai celebrates its 10 year anniversary.

I speak of it here in the third person because I very much see it as that, an actual being – in fact, I often refer to it as my first born!

When you conceive and birth a business, bearing its many growing pains and sleepless nights, it can feel very much like nurturing a child and watching it develop.

Ten years have gone in the blink of an eye and also felt like an eternity! The passage of time can be illusory and confusing like that.

We’ve done a huge amount in a decade and when I take a step back and pause for breath, I’m so proud of what I see.

The factory we’ve built brick by brick, we still make every one of our products in London and our Queens Award for Enterprise which is set proudly on our wall.

We’ve come a long way from my drafty garage and hand whisk!

The highlights are many, but it’s the people that stand out.

The customers who have been so supportive and loyal – and who, at times, have been so patient with us.

And the unique, diverse, talented, spirited members of the Pai team.

Many have joined me for just a part of the journey, but a notable few have been with me from almost the beginning. Not just my husband (of course!), but also four notable individuals who collectively have served 32.5 years at the company.

Pai would be a different entity without them – the products, the brand. There is no question they have played an instrumental part in its evolution.

While it’s important and lovely to take a moment to reflect, my impatient nature means my eyes are set firmly on the horizon.

There is much to do and ironically it feels like we’re only just getting started.

There are so many people with sensitive and challenging skin that still don’t know about us and that we believe, passionately, we can help.

Don’t panic, we’re coming to find you!
