Darker mornings and that ‘back to school’ feeling can leave us all feeling a bit bleary eyed.
We’ve stressed the importance of sleep before, but we know all too well that sometimes it’s impossible to get those eight hours.
Read on for top tips from the Pai team to get your skin looking wide awake…even when you don’t feel it.
Eyes first
The eyes are often the first place to show fatigue, so taking down puffiness can really help to make the face look more awake.
It’s an old trick, but cucumber slices or cold teaspoons placed over tired eyes will help to soothe and de-puff.
No cucumber handy? Sarah, Pai’s founder, reuses chamomile teabags as a speedy way to wake up tired eyes:
My fail-safe trick, honed after many sleepless nights with screaming babies, is to pop two chilled chamomile teabags onto my eyes for fives minutes.
The cold feels instantly soothing and the natural anti-inflammatories in the chamomile flower will also reduce puffiness. Thank me later!”
Follow with Echium & Argan Gentle Eye Cream, using your ring fingers to gently massage around the orbital bone to boost circulation and drain away swelling.
Polish and smooth
Our favourite quick fixes help hide the evidence of a night spent tossing and turning.
The ultra gentle Jojoba Beads in our Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator polish the skin’s surface to brighten the complexion and banish that grey cast that can appear when we’re tired.
For extra radiance, follow with a few drops of Rosehip BioRegenerate Oil. It provides instant comfort to tired skin while helping to brighten and smooth.
Replenish from within
If your skin looks tired, there’s a good chance the rest of your body is feeling it just as much.
No time to hit snooze? Drink plenty of water and whizz up a smoothie rich in berries and greens to give your system a boost.
