Vacation vs. Staycation: Our favourite destinations

The English summer seems to be drawing to a close around us, but there’s still time for one last holiday excursion.

The big question is: where will you go? Will you stay local and explore what’s on your doorstep or hop on a plane to sunnier climes?

We’ve put together our ultimate UK staycation vs. vacation locations to help you decide!

Staycation

The places tempting us to explore our own shores…

#1 Wales, UK

Rumour has it that Wales has some of the most unspoilt, secluded and beautiful beaches in the UK.

Yes, you may need nerves of steel to brave a swim but the dramatic coastline will be worth it.

Ideal for those who love long walks, good pub lunches and rustic picnics – we have it on good authority that Porth Llanlleiana in Anglesey isn’t one to miss.

Don’t leave home without: Chamomile & Rosehip Calming Day Cream

After long days walking the coastal path, you’ll need a skin-soothing dose of our bestselling Moisturiser.

#2 Dorset, UK

Head to Lulworth Cove for gorgeous views and hopefully some sheltered lounging and swimming.

In the summer you can hop on a boat over to Durdle Door to gaze at the incredible natural limestone arch. Then head back to Lulworth and refuel at The Castle Inn.

Don’t leave home without: Kukui & Jojoba Bead Skin Brightening Exfoliator

If the weather fails, at least you can rely on this super-gentle Exfoliator to brighten and smooth your complexion.

Vacation

The locations we’re gagging to get away to before the summer’s out…

#1 Lisbon, Portugal

Alfama

The combination of traditional southern-European city and buzzing night scene is tempting us to hop on a flight to Lisbon.

With beautiful beaches just twenty minutes outside the city, food and endless winding streets to explore – there’s something for everyone.

Plus, being only two hours from London with zero time difference makes it ideal for a last minute break.

Don’t leave home without: Lotus & Orange Blossom BioAffinity Tonic

Keep it in your bag to refresh your complexion throughout the day as you wander through winding city streets.

#2 Antigua, Caribbean

antigua-bay

Not quite close enough for a last minute escape, but the white sand and aquamarine sea of this classic Caribbean destination are tempting us!

The island has a great history of sailing, so either hop in a boat yourself to get learning or settle in for an afternoon of watching the super-yachts sail by.

The neighbouring island of Barbuda is smaller and much less developed with unspoilt beaches –definitely one to check out if you have the time.

Don’t leave home without: Comfrey & Calendula Calming Body Cream

Packed with skin-soothing botanicals, this intensive Body Cream doubles up as a brilliant aftersun if you’ve caught too many rays.
